All of the good things we have in Baltimore and Howard Counties depend on us having both the people and tax base to support it. That means we must encourage diverse and exceptional businesses to locate in District 12. These give us the jobs we need to weather uncertain economic times.

  • Attracting business: District 12 has a lot to offer the rest of the State of Maryland, including pleasant communities that provide wonderful housing value, access to great public schools, and public institutions such as UMBC, Howard Community College, and the Community College of Baltimore County in Catonsville.  We must capitalize upon these selling points and others in order to bring new businesses to District 12.
  • Growing new business: We cannot just draw other business. We must encourage entrepreneurs to launch their new businesses here. We can find ways to encourage business growth by reducing risk and providing resources to our own local business owners.
