Maryland’s public education includes some of the finest in the country, but the benefits are not reaching everyone. Our students, even when graduating, are not always ready to go to college. And if they are not ready for college, they are not ready for the workforce.
- Quality: As an adjunct math professor, I routinely see students unprepared for mathematics and writing. Every student graduating from high school must be able to read, write, and perform mathematics and be ready for university-level work.
- Investment: As your State Delegate, I will make sure that all public schools in Baltimore and Howard Counties have an environment that is conducive to learning. This includes a new Lansdowne High School, as well as air conditioning in Baltimore County, and minimal use of portable classrooms everywhere. You can count on me to work with County Council and School Board members in both counties to make sure students are going to good places which will allow them to focus on learning– as it should be.
